Customer Profile: Crete Systems Windows Mobile-based Military PDA
Crete Systems Inc., based in Taiwan, planned a hardware reference design for military OEMs developing Windows Mobile PDAs. The Marvell PXA270-based reference design supported GSM/GPRS and CDMA 3G radios, WLAN 802.11g, Bluetooth and a GPS module. The design also featured a 640x480 display. Crete engaged with Bsquare to develop hardware, and to develop and test the Windows Mobile board support package. Crete selected Bsquare as a development partner because of its local presence in Taiwan and for its hardware and software expertise. With Bsquare’s assistance, Crete successfully brought its DA05 Pocket PC to market.
